Bangladesh participated in the convention establishing the World Intellectual Property Organizations(WIPO) which currently administers 26 international treaties concerning various intellectual property issues. The five main areas of intellectual property protections in Bangladesh are: patent, trademark industrial design, copyright, and geographical indication.Other than copyrights, which are regulated by the Copyright Office, all of the other intellectual property protections are regulated by the Department of Patent Design and Trademark.
